Not too long ago, I got an email from someone who had foolishly canceled his “Email Players

Not too long ago, I got an email from someone who had foolishly canceled his “Email Players” subscription, then wanted back in now that he’s “ready.” In his plea to return he basically said: * He made a mistake and joined prematurely, was a newbie, etc * Admitted he buys too many courses * Prayed a lot about it * Now makes 5-figures per month * And therefore thinks he “deserves” to come back My reply: “you should have sacked up and figured it out. No amount of figures is going to change that you aren’t qualified.” Mayhaps that sounds mean. Possibly a bit assholey-ish. Maybe... just maybe... a bit over the top. No. If anything I was being gracious. For one thing, I demand my subscribers have character. Character is simply following through on a decision long after the excitement of the moment has passed. It’s not something you “learn.” It’s something you either have or don’t have, but can be developed. But in my experience, if you don’t have it when you subscribe (it’s literally a few dollars per day — it wasn’t about the money), you won’t have it if you try to come back later. And even if you do, you’ve burned the bridge back ‘round these here parts. I have already considered you DOA. There are plenty of scavengers in the marketing world who’ll take the crud. And you’ll have to buy from one of them. Anyone who gets offended by that is simply reinforcing why I have that attitude. Especially in light of the upcoming September “Email Players” issue. All the guy’s talk about God and praying and divine is quite ironic in light of this issue. (For reasons that’ll be obvious to those who read it.) As is his flitting from one program to the next then coming back and asking to return. Not allowing such types — no matter how many “figures” they make, I’ve turned away even 7-figure marketers from returning many times — to buy is a major “plank” in how to create a business where people want to buy from you and ONLY you — forsaking all other competing offers from your inferior competition. You can’t do that by letting the quitters come back. Gotta punish and make an example of ‘em. It is — strange as it may sound — the only way you can truly help ‘em. And, also, help the rest of your market. Anyway, the September issue (on pages 17-19) goes into detail about this and how it fits into the theater of what I call “Sixth-generation marketing warfare” — which is a powerful way to market and sell you won’t find in any book, course, or seminar. I’ve been teaching it in “Email Players” this year. And this September issue drills into an extremely potent “weapon” for conquering with it. This is especially the case with affiliate, product launch, & other marketing campaigns. But time is short. And you’ll have to get on this if you want in before the deadline. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
