I can’t go into it here for obvious reasons. But this last April's Email Players issue was all about what I have dubbed as “Sixth-generation marketing warfare.” Including what exactly it is, how it works, and how to start running 6G marketing warfare game on your competition - especially while they are stuck in 4G and 5G marketing warfare still trying to build a bigger funnel, write a better ad, use a better piece of software, learn from a better coach, build a larger list & community, etc. None of the above are bad. They are essential — like any assorted weapons are to a solider at war. But 6G marketing warfare isn’t fought on the same battlefield. Thus, the April issue. Subscribers who possess it are fortunate indeed. Anyway, one thing I did not put in that issue, but that is applicable to anyone reading this — whether you have that issue or not — is what the main rule of warfare is when it comes to marketing and business. And that is: Unpredictability. This is far more tactical than strategic (the April issue was all strategic). But the best quote I ever heard about this was from comedian Dante Nero — talking about the best way for a man to behave in a relationship with a woman he loves — when he said: “Be consistently inconsistent.” Something that applies even more to marketing warfare, in my experience. What this means is to make any kind of pattern recognition impossible. Give no time for adaption or boredom to set in. Overwhelm everyone with a sort of “benevolent chaos” & unpredictability — but in a way that makes people enjoy doing business with you, buying from you, referring to you, keeping up with you, checking in with you, and being a part of your World. This is exactly what I did in my old elBenbo’s Lair Facebook group. It was, going by what members said, the most engaged group in my niche. People considered it “real life” with actual real life mostly ignored. Many a person was in elBenbo’s Lair while on dates, family outings, etc. Way more fun in my World, I suppose. In fact, I was routinely called a “cult leader” by several people during the group’s existence (and an argument could be made that I was… but I do not think that was technically true because I did the opposite of trying to control people’s speech or thinking, amongst other things). But many sales were made (not just by me). Businesses were built from scratch. And a merry time was had by many. To this day I get people wanting me to bring it back. And while that ain’t gonna happen again (the next social media lair I am going to create, probably in a few weeks, will be way more laid back & far less time intensive) I did do the next best thing: I got together with Troy Broussard — a Navy nuclear engineer & former Encyclopedia Britannica Executive Director of Technology-turned-enterprise class software developer & the undisputed #1 guy on the planet when it comes to email automation — to create our own social media platform. A platform specifically for businesses and marketers. A platform based in large part on the intel I gained from elBenbo’s Lair. Thus, the name of our platform: “SocialLair” It’s unrepentantly pro-business, pro-privacy, and pro-marketer. And even with its early version (we're just getting warmed up) I’ll take the Pepsi Challenge putting it against Facebook or any other platform when it comes to pure business-building, profit opportunity, ease of selling, control over your data (including being able to connect your followers to an email list so you “own” that list, not us), and the list goes on. It’s the opposite of all the free big tech social media platforms. Here’s how it works: 1. Until tonight (Friday June 11 at midnight EDT, or possibly earlier depending on demand) you can get a free test drive of it — after which free test drives will be closed for a while to “iron out” any lingering bugs & glitches, etc 2. Use it, fill it with content, even post ads inside & show it to your clients & colleagues if you want… and see if it “clicks” for you — with no credit card needed, and zero obligation 3. If you decide to subscribe during this test drive… you can have it for $35/month instead of the $50+/month it will cost in the future. Plus you will be “grandfathered” in for life at that price forever. (Barring any sudden rise in hard costs imposed on our systems due to 3rd party forces beyond our control — which is highly unlikely.) Bottom line: If’n you want to test drive it free, I highly recommend you do it now. After multiple software launches I’ve seen how it ain’t like info products. By that I mean, you don’t want thousands of people piling in right away. That only makes for a lot of frustrated & unhappy customers. It’s much better to grow slowly and roll out over time. Thus, today’s deadline to get your free test drive may get abruptly shortened without warning. And, even people who get in for the test drive may not be able to buy for a while if you linger too long to make a decision once inside. And of course if that happens where we close it early due to demand… and you wait too long to buy it after taking your test drive, you will miss out on the above savings. We shalt see how it goes. Really, it all depends on the demand. So this does not favor the procrastinator. To get the full details read the page carefully here: Ben Settle Copyright © 2021 Settle, LLC. All Rights Reserved. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
