A daily reader asks: "As a complete beginner in email copywriting, I haven't had the chance to write email copies for clients yet. I'm wondering how I can practice and improve my skills before approaching clients. Is there a particular method or resource you recommend? Also, are there any means through which I can get my email copies reviewed for feedback? I appreciate your help and guidance!" I will generously give some guidance for his business right here in this email. And that advice is this: Start growing an email list, and start mailing that list an offer each and every day. Not the most original and sexy advice, granted. But I don’t care if you have 1 subscriber or 10,000. Start cranking out them emails. And start selling offers — even if you have to find affiliate offers. The reasons for this are many: 1. Getting a lot faster at writing copy 2. Getting better at writing copy 3. Ideally you’re making some scratch where you don’t “need” clients 4. If you do that, clients are, in my experience, far more likely to want to hire you 5. Yes, I know that’s ironic 6. But that makes it no less true… As for the sending daily emails part: It's like what Stefania tweeted yesterday after Trump sent an email to his list shortly after the assassination attempt on his life: "@BenSettle_ will hear of no other excuses: If Trump can send out an email after nearly getting his head blown off, so can you." Indeed. And as far as growing a list part: If you don’t have one yet, you can check out our BerserkerMail platform. Our opt-in form creator is extremely simple, has several “best practices” built in for helping curate a strong list, and you can even host it on our servers if you don’t have your own site yet, so you really wouldn’t even need a site right away. I’m not suggesting just jumping in. Although you could, with a free test drive. Instead I suggest checking out our YouTube channel. Get to know me, my biz partner Troy, the platform. See if you like what we have to say, our philosophies, our ways. That’s my advice. Here’s the link: [( Ben Settle This email was sent by Ben Settle as owner of Settle, LLC. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
