A customer asks about indoctrination: “Do you have an onboard sequence to your list that every new subscriber receives when they opt in? If so, how many emails over how many days to indoctrinate them to your wizardry ways? I look back at the first dozen emails I received after opting in, and it looks like I just started receiving what you were writing about at the time. I don't have an onboarding process. I don't have any of that stuff. I don't have a nurture sequence. I still think that is the most pointless thing ever invented by internet markets, like a nurture sequence when they buy and all that.” My answer: I don't have any of that. The "indoctrination" begins the second they opt in. And in many ways before they even get to my page. i.e., they are what Dan Kennedy describes as “upstream leads.” They somehow hear about me or are introduced to me by someone. Run across a piece of content I wrote or recorded somewhere. Maybe one of these guys who tell me they see Email Players issues laying around at one of Agora’s offices. Or maybe someone mentions me on a podcast or I get mentioned in a mastermind. Could be a troll says something out of their ass and lurkers who know the troll is mentally deranged want to see for themselves. It’s kind of weird how that starts to happen after a while. When you mail daily, put out good offers, stick to a philosophy it takes a life of its own. You never know what email will turn the trick either. For example: I wrote an email about a troll once and Ken McCarthy sent me an email soon after wanting to interview me about monetizing trolls to his System Club members. Or, earlier this year, Doberman Dan forwarded one of my emails to Dan Kennedy and suddenly I’m invited to communicate with the great Professor of Harsh Reality by FAX (which has already lead to new opportunities, a gold card testimonial, content, an invite to do something together in the marketing space, etc). Or, someone once told me they attended a mastermind I used to go to (pre lockdowns) and people wouldn’t shut up about me — for good or ill — and suddenly joins my list, introduces himself, subscribes to Email Players. That’s my indoctrination sequence: 1. Grow email list 2. Mail it daily I get 'em in and the only email they get is a welcome email. That’s it. I'm always sending out an email every day and sometimes multiple emails per day. I almost feel bad for these poor souls who come in on the last day of a launch or an email campaign I’m doing and they come in at 2:00 AM and they get seven or eight emails on the first day. Those are the ones I might hear from. But even that is rare as the first email warns them about that. Only someone who is illiterate will get mad. And there’s not much I can do to help them so they might as well opt-out. Of course, nobody wants to hear this. They want sexy, exciting, cool, ninja, and, above all-else… complex. Why? I don’t know. Laziness, maybe? They want to have it all automated and set up, maybe so they can brag about it on Facebook or whatever. So for them… I present Troy Broussard’s course: “Core Campaigns” Although, in reality, what he teaches about campaigns is NOT at-all complex. But it’s more complex than anything I do. And, yes, this includes his 2-email (I have only one, he has two — that is about how much more complex what he does is) indoctrination sequence that he teaches inside the course. As for the Core Campaign discount deal: If you buy Core Campaigns from my affiliate link below by tomorrow, Tuesday 7/9 at midnight EDT you can not only get them at a fat discount, but you will also get (as a valuable bonus) a video training I did called… “Email Secrets Of A 6-Figure Slacker” This is a talk I gave back in my slacker days when I literally woke up, wrote an email, and spent the rest of my day figuring out how to have fun and play. This video is like a “crib sheet” for my Email Players methodology crammed into an hour. And it’s all about how I approach writing emails in a way that grip, gratify, & grab them by their psychology and wanting to buy your offers. Plus, it’s important to note I taught it to a crowd of MLM’ers. And let’s face it: If this video can work for MLM, chances are they can work for your offers. Combine with Core Campaigns and in my opinion you almost can’t lose. Okay, so that’s the deal. And now, here’s the link: [( Ben Settle P.S. Core Campaigns and the bonus Email Secrets of a 6-Figure Slacker video are delivered via the free Learnistic mobile app. That means you will need an Android or iPhone device or iPad to access everything. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
