I don’t know who’s teaching people to do the following. But a while back I got an email from a list I am on that said since I haven’t been opening (even though I obviously opened it) or clicking on anything in their emails, then they guess it’s time for me to unsubscribe… but if I still want to stay to just click a big, red button in the email and they will keep me on the list. The word “unsubscribe” was hyper linked to opt-me out. And, basically, the email was telling me it’s time to go since I’m not… Engaging. Ooh. But wait! There was a problem: 1. I had bought $2000+ worth of products from this company in the last year alone. 2. I’m a huge fan of everything they sell. 3. I got nothing but praise for both their customer service and products. 4. I think their products are some of the best in the biz at what they do. But fact is, when I need to buy something or refill I go directly to the site. The products I buy need to be reordered regularly and so I buy when I am ready to buy, and rarely ever have to click over from one of their emails. Thus, the email they sent makes no real sense. Which is why I assume someone must be teaching this nonsense. Probably at a mastermind or on social media. Those are the usual suspects whenever dumb info is being taught. In this company's case, I wonder how many other high-volume customers this company has who also spend 1000s per year with them they have flat out told — and all but insisted — they opt-out like this too, and how many of them actually have, and then maybe even stopped buying as a result? I will never know. But my suspicion is — and that is all it is — the who told them to do this are either (1) freelancers who don’t have their own lists and live in a world of theory where they knee-jerk parrot whatever some other goo-roo does/teaches/said to do or... (2) someone who just got back from a mastermind and listened to someone who has a 1-2 million name list say to do it who does no real curation either at the opt-in stage or in the emails they send (I know businesses who are like this — great at generating leads, not so great at curating them). It doesn't help that a lot of tracking has become so unreliable it's become a trope. Open tracking has always been dubious. But even clicks can be misleading. Especially with bots that scan your emails for viruses that might register as clicks. Whatever the case: There are better ways to fix this sort of problem. One of which is to just follow my Email Players methodology. My boys & ghouls I hear from about it don’t tend to have this problem because they know how to write engaging emails that serve to both curate the cold and lukewarm leads off while turning the hot leads on. On the other hand, there are people who don’t want to work that hard. They want things automated. They want everything on autopilot. They can’t be bothered to do the hard work. Or, perhaps, they lack the time or ability to find a writer who can. Either way: The solution I would recommend to them is Troy Broussard’s “Core Campaigns” course you can still get on sale for a little bit longer. He gives you the raw, unfiltered truth about whether you should remove people who haven’t engaged with your emails and the best ways to curate, monetize, and profit from leads who you think are dead but are still alive and even eager to spend money with your business. As for the Core Campaign discount deal: If you buy Core Campaigns from my affiliate link below by Tuesday 7/9 at midnight EDT you can not only get them at a fat discount, but you will also get (as a valuable bonus) a video training I did called… “Email Secrets Of A 6-Figure Slacker” This is a talk I gave back in my slacker days when I literally woke up, wrote an email, and spent the rest of my day figuring out how to have fun and play. This video is like a “crib sheet” for my Email Players methodology crammed into an hour. And it’s all about how I approach writing emails in a way that grip, gratify, & grab them by their psychology and wanting to buy your offers. Plus, it’s important to note I taught it to a crowd of MLM’ers. And let’s face it: If this video can work for MLM, chances are they can work for your offers. Combine with Core Campaigns and in my opinion you almost can’t lose. Okay, so that’s the deal. And now, here’s the link: [( Ben Settle P.S. Core Campaigns and the bonus Email Secrets of a 6-Figure Slacker video are delivered via the free Learnistic mobile app. That means you will need an Android or iPhone device or iPad to access everything. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
