Following is a bit from an email I sent to the BerserkerMail team earlier this year. If you want to know how to think about content creation, how to get email ideas, how to to turn even routine helpdesk tickets or customer service replies you have already written (why let it go to waste?) into sales, content, and business growth then this is just one of many ways to do it. Here goes: === Any common helpdesk questions and your answer (or Lance’s) should be copied and pasted to Twitter and the Mead Hall - people love seeing it, it is just good service, it makes us far more accessible, it possibly will even remove objections they are keeping to themselves. It also creates conversation starters I can run with on social and in my emails (as can Troy), can lead to testimonials, sales, reasons for us to point people to podcast or youtube, etc. So anything common or anything you just want more people to know BEFORE they come in or that you want more current clients to know: * post the question and your answer to both twitter and Mead Hall * Tag me, John, Troy, and Stefania on it on Twitter and in the Mead Hall Probably 45 seconds, max of your time. And it will probably also save you time in the long run since people who buy will later know the answer to whatever the common question is. This is arguably the biggest unused capacity opportunity we have. It also gives me something to riff of, to help promote. === That is not even getting creative, btw. And the email was much longer with a lot more advice. Unfortunately, it’s also not nearly as sexy as what Troy Broussard teaches in his Core Campaigns course about how to recycle old ‘junk’ helpdesk tickets to boost engagement & retention. Something he worked out when he did the email automation/tracking/campaign-building for as many as 50 emails per month when he used to help clients. The great Dan Kennedy teaches about the idea of “unused capacity.” i.e., assets in your business you could be using to make more sales but aren’t. Like, for example, McDonalds serving breakfast (now 30%+ of their sales) Or TV ads being sold at night instead of staring at color bars. Or when he was speaking on the Peter Lowe circuit he deliberately picked the time slot at the very end, when the room was still paid for but when people were usually packing up to leave, etc. And he used that time to sell all kinds of merchandise. And the list goes on. Well, guess ye what? Those helpdesk tickets you already sent are unused capacity too. It’s a shame not to profit from them… Speaking of unused capacity: Back in 2016 I gave a talk to a group of people in the MLM niche about my Email Players methodology, and how I used it to have my work day down to 10, 15, maybe 20 minutes on average. Literally just woke up, sent an email, and was done on most days. Then I had to figure out how to amuse myself the rest of the day. Good problem to have. I even titled it: “Email Secrets of a 6-Figure Slacker” And that video has sat on my hard drive collecting digital dust ever since. And it has been true Unused Capacity that I am finally using now — as if you buy Troy’s Core Campaigns from my affiliate link below by Tuesday 7/9 at midnight EDT, you can not only get the course at a fat discount, but you will also get (as a valuable bonus) the above video. Go here to get your hands on everything today: [( Ben Settle P.S. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
