Came a question: === I’m a copywriter and I’m trying to stand out amongst the other copywriters who has the same old tagline of “i help xy grow their business with pErSuAsive copy” or something like that I was thinking of something along the lines of: “I show entrepreneurs how to use the powers of evil for good” This is inspired of what I learned from you, not over-relying on formulas and ‘“what’s-working-now”. === My opinion: The above will probably attract the kind of people you don’t want in your life, in my experience. It goes back to coming up with a USP: What’s the ONE thing only you can or are willing to offer, that no other copywriter can or is willing to? Answer that and you’ll probably never lack for clients ever again. But nobody can answer that for you. Only you can. Plus, people who are doing wrong, and know it, are people to avoid, even if they’d like to change. The above is a thought exercise to think about if you’re in my customer’s shoes. Most solutions can’t be swiped or fapGPT'd. They have to be figured out. And that’s why, for example, my Copy Slacker book has nearly 500-pages of ads to model & study - but to "swipe" them and try to shoe horn them into your solution would be foolish. They are beacons and guides and idea-starters/growers. But ultimately you have to figure out your own unique selling proposition. What my book does is give you a framework. But you still have to know what kind of house you want to build, what tools to use, what to fill it with. If that analogy falls short, then probably best to pass on the book.
