A true story about the sales-pulling power of having lots of Status: Stefaniaâs mother owns a resale shop in Manhattan. i.e., she buys and then resells brand name clothes, purses, hand bags, whatever. And the reason people like them frequent this particular resale shop is because it focuses on items with high status. Stefania's mom does not have to hard sell anything. Many times, used high ticket items are sold just because of the name on the item. The point: Things with high status make selling & marketing as easy as rolling off a couch. And when you understand how to give your own brand status â you, too, can more potentially start charging higher prices & fees people happily pay for⦠potentially get people buying from your business just because you tell them something is for sale⦠and even potentially have all your political opinions listened to, including if they are of the insane Creepy Joe variety that defy the laws of mathematics, logic, consistency, intellectual honesty, or common sense. Such is the power of status. In fact, for many years, I used to think that people mainly buy from a particular biz for 3 reasons: 1. They know you 2. They like you 3. They trust you But I would add a 4th to that list: 4. You have lots of status In fact, if you have status, people will sometimes buy from you even if they have never met you ⦠canât stand you⦠and trust you about as far as they can throw a piano.
