As a former teacher, I’d like to give a brief EOQ 101 lesson. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Hey {NAME}! Over the next week, you’re going to hear us talk a lot about our final end-of-quarter (EOQ) deadline before the midterms. As a former teacher, I’d like to give a brief EOQ 101 lesson, and explain why these deadlines are so important before asking you to help us reach our goal. Alright, here we go: EOQ reports publish all of the details of our campaign’s finances – and these numbers tell a story: The story of how much we’ve raised, whether or not we can continue to sustain our operation, and the number of individual, grassroots donors powering our campaign. Both friends and opponents of our campaign will be combing through our report to gauge the strength of our campaign, see if we’ve lost momentum after the primary, and look at how we might plan to invest resources in the final month ahead of the general. Finally, the numbers we raise in this period will also determine the budget we have for things like television, organizing, and digital voter engagement. We’ve determined that hitting a grassroots goal of $35,000 will allow us to cover each of these components as we enter into the final sprint of this race. Wrapping things up…the numbers we put up in our final EOQ report will send a message about the strength of our movement and allow us to lock in a budget for our general election strategy and spending. [That’s why I’m asking for your support to hit our $35,000 goal.
