Email Preheader Text

I’m up late prepping for the first general election debate of the campaign. Hey {NAME} –

I’m up late prepping for the first general election debate of the campaign. Hey {NAME} – Once again, I’m up late prepping for tomorrow’s debate. It’s the first debate of the general election, which may be the most important debate of this entire campaign. Tomorrow’s debate is hosted by VTDigger, one of the most popular news sites in Vermont. With ballots for the midterms being mailed to all registered voters this month, I expect voters to tune into this debate in order to make their decisions and begin casting their ballots. A lot has changed since the primary. I’m squaring off against Republican and Libertarian candidates with visions for Vermont vastly different from my own. I expect to be challenged and questioned with more scrutiny than ever before in these general election debates, and I want to send a message that our grassroots movement has the strength and scrappiness needed to win – starting by bringing 50 small donations in the door before tomorrow’s debate. It would mean the world to me to see a small contribution come in from you before I wrap up debate prep tonight. Here’s the link to give: [( In gratitude, Becca B. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
