The Original Utility Balm is coming back

Running a business is humbling. I’m always striving to make it better, but sometimes you miss the mark. A year ago, we tweaked the formula of the Utility Balm and started using murumuru butter — a high-end ingredient — with the expectation it would help prevent grains. As it turns out, murumuru butter did not prevent grains, and even worse, it changed the properties of the balm to be less desirable. So next week, we’re relaunching the original formulation of Utility Balm in all 3 fragrances, including a new Temple Smoke fragrance that we're really excited about. Grains will likely occur in certain situations (typically when the product melts and cools very slowly). But these grains should quickly melt and will be easy to remove by melting the product and letting it cool in the fridge. We’re also putting this new Original Utility Balm in a taller jar. This will make it easier to melt the product and screw the lid back on. I’m sorry for all the customers I let down. It’s not my first mistake and won’t be my last. I’m driven to do hard things; failure is part of the journey. It’s also ingrained in our DNA with our tagline “Keep on Growing.” I feel blessed that I get to serve the most amazing customers on the planet.
