And that’s just scratching the surface. Long story short, improving your sleep might be the best thing you can do to improve all aspects of your life—including your beard. Seriously, the body’s temperature lowers during sleep, which leads to increased blood circulation—including circulation to hair follicles and their roots, which is good for your beard. HOW TO CATCH MORE Z’s • Set a consistent bedtime and stick to it. • Put the phone, computer, and tablet away, and turn off the TV 30–60 minutes before bed. Try reading during this time instead. • If you keep your phone next to your bed, try putting it further away so you won’t be tempted to scroll before going to sleep. • Use a white noise machine or rotating fan to block out external noise. • Try making a list of priorities for tomorrow, so you’re not preoccupied with them.
