[Header image featuring a typewriter and a couple of notebooks] From Brené March 20, 2024 newsletter A new episode of Unlocking Us with Esther Perel [Headshot of Esther Perel and the quote "We have 1,000 friends on social, but we don't have a single person who can feed our cat for us." -Esther Perel on New AI – Artificial Intimacy ]( Unlocking Us and Dare to Lead are officially back in action with our new podcasting partner, Vox Media! Our first podcast series kicks off with an interview with acclaimed psychotherapist Esther Perel. The topic for this first series is Living Beyond Human Scale: The Possibilities, the Costs, and the Role of Community. This series will be unique in that it crosses over between Unlocking Us and Dare to Lead, with discussions ranging from mental health and social media to readying a workforce (and a bunch of anxious humans) for AI. You can listen to our conversation [here](. The scale, scope, and sheer volume of information makes these really tough human-scale challenges! I think the answer to staying grounded just might be IRL community and relationships. Also, rather than dropping two podcasts every week, I’ll be recording short series of 3-4 thematic podcasts that will drop several times over the course of the year. You can now listen to the new podcasts and our entire library anywhere you listen to podcasts — we're no longer exclusive to one platform. Support Live Music in Austin [Support live music by providing Austin musicians with health insurance. Join Brené, Gina Chavez, Carrie Rodriguez, and John Spong for A Night of Song and Storytelling on April 2nd at The Long Center. Since its founding in 2005, HAAM has helped 6,700 musicians across seven counties access over $144 million in healthcare services.]( If you're an Austin music lover, I hope you can join us for “[A Night of Song and Storytelling]( a benefit fundraiser for HAAM, the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, at the Long Center on April 2. I'll be joined by Austin musicians Gina Chavez and Carrie Rodriguez and Texas Monthly writer John Spong. Through the course of the evening, we’ll use storytelling and song to explore the issues that make us human — love, loss, change, and hope. HAAM provides access to affordable healthcare for greater Austin’s low-income, working musicians, with a focus on prevention and wellness. More in Podcasts If you haven’t had a chance to listen yet, we’ve dropped an important [Unlocking Us]( series on Palestine and Israel. Guests, including activists doing work on the ground and a policy scholar, shared their personal stories as well as their own experiences and perspectives, in an effort to heighten our knowledge and awareness. Special thanks to our new podcast partner, Vox Media, who produced this series without any commercialization.
