{NAME}, tomorrow marks one year since the tragedy in Monterey Park, California – the second deadliest mass shooting of 2023. Yet, in the year since, nothing has changed. Assault weapons – like the one that stole 10 people and wounded 9 more at a Monterey Park dance hall – still roam our streets and our communities continue to be plagued by gun violence. – Our streets are still flooded with these weapons of war. – Our communities are still being devastated by endless mass shootings (14 this year already). – Our lawmakers are still playing politics with our lives. [It’s heartbreaking, {NAME}.]( Our communities deserve to gather without the fear of being slaughtered. But our leaders have failed. That’s why we will never stop working until assault weapons are banned once and for all and the endless bloodshed is over. But we can’t do it without your help, {NAME}. [We’re working to REPLACE complacent lawmakers – like the ones who blocked the assault weapons ban in the Senate last month – with gun safety candidates who will fight to end gun violence and pass meaningful legislation. Will you pitch in any amount before midnight to help us continue supporting leaders who will work endlessly to prevent another tragedy like the one we witnessed in Monterey Park last year? Each dollar you donate allows us to keep our movement to ban assault weapons and elect gun safety champions firing on all cylinders. >>]( We’ve donated to gun safety champions like Representatives Maxwell Frost and Jared Moskowitz, and we need to support leaders like them in Congress who will stand up for our communities now more than ever, {NAME}. Without action, there were over [650(!!!)]( mass shootings in 2023. And so far, there have already been 14 [DEADLY]( mass shootings in just the first few weeks of 2024. Yet, cowardly lawmakers sit back and watch [THOUSANDS]( die in preventable massacres. [We’ll stop at nothing to BAN assault weapons like the one that stole 10 lives in Monterey Park a year ago. We’re on the frontlines to replace lawmakers who stand in the way of banning assault weapons nationwide and protecting our communities from mass shootings – but we can’t fully fund our movement to elect gun safety candidates without your help. We’re calling on 182 champions to stand with us before midnight to hold cowardly Republican lawmakers accountable and replace them with candidates dedicated to our movement. Will you rush $15 to help? >>]( [Chip in $15 now >>]( [Chip in $25 now >>]( [Chip in $50 now >>]( [Chip in $100 now >>]( [Chip in another amount now >>]( Thanks for working alongside us, Team Ban Assault Weapons Now PAC        ‚  ‚   BAWN is committed to replacing every cowardly and complacent lawmaker, regardless of party, that denies your right to live without fear of being shot. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out. BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans. But they can’t do this alone. BAWN is relying on your support to kick every coward who refuses to protect our children and families OUT of office. Will you chip in right away?
