[David Hogg]( [I’m about to ask you for $15 to help BAWN, Leaders We Deserve, and I elect young gun safety leaders from coast to coast at every level of government. But first, please let me explain why Leaders We Deserve’s work is important. >>]( [Five years ago, my world turned upside down when a gunman with a military-grade assault weapon stormed my high school, shooting 34 people and killing 17 kids and educators.]( In the wake of the tragedy, I was determined to do something about this injustice. That's when I met Gail Schwartz – the aunt of 14-year-old Parkland shooting victim, Alex Schachter. Although we were still in shock, it was clear to us that the inaction of our legislators was what enabled a killer to easily and legally access a weapon capable of causing so much destruction. [Together, with other mourning family members from the Parkland and Pulse community, we funneled our grief into action.]( This year, I co-founded Leaders We Deserve alongside Kevin Lata, to elect young people to office to make real change in Congress and State Legislatures across the country. [We’re working to build a better future for the next generation and we’ve already made significant strides in the gun violence prevention movement. But we have to make sure we have the resources we need heading into 2024 to elect a wave of young leaders who will fight to ban assault weapons and end gun violence once and for all. That’s why we’re teaming up with BAWN to hit our Giving Tuesday fundraising goal – $2,500 in the next 13 hours – and fully fund our critical mission. Can I count on your $15 before our deadline hits at midnight? Every contribution from this message will go directly to my organization, Leaders We Deserve. >>]( {NAME}, your support has meant the world to us. You helped us fund a world-class field program in Virginia to turn out young voters. You helped us fund our hard-hitting TV and digital ads that swayed undecided Virginian voters. And you helped us elect our very first endorsed candidate, Nadarius Clark, the youngest state legislator ever in Virginia. [David and Nadarius Clark](David and Nadarius Clark There is nothing you can't do, {NAME}. [Now, I need your help to build on this momentum, re-plenish our bank accounts, and elect young leaders to Congress and State Legislatures who will fight to end mass shootings.]( [So I’m humbly asking one last time: Every dollar you donate will go directly towards Leader We Deserve’s work in electing young candidates who have the guts to take a stand against the gun lobby, support an assault weapons ban, and put a stop to the endless mass shootings our country is facing. Will you chip in $15 now to help us clinch our goal? It would mean so much to me to have your support. >>]( [Chip in $15 now >>]( [Chip in $25 now >>]( [Chip in $50 now >>]( [Chip in $100 now >>]( [Chip in another amount now >>]( Thank you for all that you do, David Hogg Co-founder, Leaders We Deserve Board Member, Ban Assault Weapons NOW!        ‚  ‚   BAWN is committed to replacing every cowardly and complacent lawmaker, regardless of party, that denies your right to live without fear of being shot. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out. BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans. But they can’t do this alone. BAWN is relying on your support to kick every coward who refuses to protect our children and families OUT of office. Will you chip in right away?
