{NAME}, everything – everything – just changed in our movement to ban assault weapons. [FIRST:]( In 2022, a gunman with an assault weapon opened fire on a family Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, IL, slaughtering six people and wounding dozens more. [THEN:]( Survivors and advocates stood up in record numbers and PASSED a historic assault weapons ban in Illinois. [NOW:]( MSNBC just reported that the Illinois Assault Weapons Ban was UPHELD in court, despite relentless campaigning from the gun lobby to tear it down. This is a massive victory for our movement to ban assault weapons nationwide, {NAME}. [But our communities won’t be safe until assault weapons are banned in EVERY single state.]( [Just last week we told you about the gun lobby’s plans to bring down California’s ban on assault weapons. Now they’re coming for Illinois’ ban too. {NAME}, we can’t overstate exactly how dire things are right now. That’s why we’re calling on 500 gun safety champions to join us before midnight to help shut down the gun lobby’s plots. Can you rush $15 right now to help prove the strength of our movement to ban assault weapons for good? The more you give, the more we can give to candidates who will support a federal assault weapons ban. >>]( The gun lobby and the politicians they back will stop at nothing to keep us from passing a federal assault weapons ban. These weapons of war have no place in our communities. Not when the country has faced almost 600 mass shootings this year ALONE. Not when countless innocent lives have been lost at the barrel of an assault rifle. [Not when countless more could be stolen if we don’t take immediate action.]( [{NAME}, we’re pleading with you: Can you help us stop the gun lobby’s deadly schemes? We need 500 gun safety champions to join us in calling for a federal assault weapons ban – like the one just upheld in Illinois – before midnight. But if we don’t meet our goal, complacent, gun lobby-backed politicians could use our failure as proof that their attacks are working. We can’t let that happen. Can you pitch in $15 before midnight to help us hand the gun lobby and the politicians they support a HUGE defeat? Every dollar goes to electing gun safety champions who support a federal assault weapons ban. >>]( [Chip in $15 now >>]( [Chip in $25 now >>]( [Chip in $50 now >>]( [Chip in $100 now >>]( [Chip in another amount now >>]( Thanks for all that you do, Team Ban Assault Weapons Now PAC        ‚  ‚   BAWN is committed to replacing every cowardly and complacent lawmaker, regardless of party, that denies your right to live without fear of being shot. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out. BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans. But they can’t do this alone. BAWN is relying on your support to kick every coward who refuses to protect our children and families OUT of office. Will you chip in right away?
