I’m speechless, {NAME}. 5 years ago, 17 students and educators – including my cousin Alex – were gunned down in their school in Parkland, Florida. The families of the victims and survivors stood up in unprecedented numbers to demand change so no one would ever have to feel the pain we did. [But it just happened again – this time at UNC-Chapel Hill.]( Just after classes started last week, students were put on lockdown due to an active shooter on campus. The shooter slaughtered a faculty member and terrorized the campus as students hid in fear. This is what daily life looks like when Republicans make decisions on guns. [Students hide from a shooter at UNC-Chapel Hill](Students hide from a shooter at UNC-Chapel Hill [Listen, {NAME} – We can’t wait for our lawmakers to take action. We HAVE to fight tooth and nail to vote these complacent lawmakers out of power in 2024 and replace them with candidates dedicated to protecting our students and ending gun violence. So I’m asking 635 supporters to step up and help us fund our campaign to elect gun safety candidates who have the guts to stand up to the gun lobby and ensure no student has to go through the horror those at Parkland and UNC-Chapel Hill endured. Will you chip in $15 now? All proceeds go to elect gun safety candidates. >>]( Students deserve better, {NAME}. Students deserve to feel safe in their schools. Students deserve to learn without the fear of being shot. We have to take action and end this senseless slaughter before it's too late. [If it can happen in Parkland, Uvalde, Oxford, Michigan State, and UNC-Chapel Hill – it can happen anywhere.]( [We won’t back down until our lawmakers enact real change – including banning assault weapons – to protect our communities. Will you stand with us and help us unseat every – and I mean EVERY – lawmaker who stands idly by while our students are slaughtered? All proceeds go to elect gun safety candidates. >>]( [Chip in $15 now >>]( [Chip in $25 now >>]( [Chip in $50 now >>]( [Chip in $100 now >>]( [Chip in another amount now >>]( Thank you, Sam Schwartz Gun safety activist and cousin of Alex Schachter [Twitter Icon](        ‚  ‚   BAWN is committed to replacing every cowardly and complacent lawmaker, regardless of party, that denies your right to live without fear of being shot. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out. BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans. But they can’t do this alone. BAWN is relying on your support to kick every coward who refuses to protect our children and families OUT of office. Will you chip in right away?
