I’m Ashbey Beasley, a mass shooting survivor and the mother of a mass shooting survivor. [Ashbey Beasley]( I’m Ashbey Beasley, a mass shooting survivor and the mother of a mass shooting survivor. My son and I ran for our lives when a gunman opened fire at the Independence Day parade in Highland Park, IL. Luckily we weren’t injured but I will never forget that day. Now, I’m devoting my life to stopping gun violence and making sure no one goes through what my son and I did. [Just 2 days ago, I flew to DC to deliver the petition you signed to Leader Schumer and other senators to convince them to support a vote for the federal assault weapons ban.]( I believe the American people deserve a vote on this bill in the spirit of democracy. We deserve to know who supports an assault weapons ban and who doesn’t. Because we can’t live like this anymore. We can’t continue to be afraid of dying in places we should feel safe like grocery stores and movie theaters. We can’t be afraid to send our children to school or take them outside to celebrate our country’s independence. [That’s why we need to ban assault weapons once and for all. But BAWN and I need your help to hold our senators’ feet to the fire so they’ll commit to reinstating the federal assault weapons ban. We’re counting on 392 supporters to help us rally a massive response and continue to pressure Leader Schumer and our senators to support a vote for the federal assault weapons ban. Will you chip in $15 before midnight to help make sure our voices are heard? >>]( We know the road to reinstating a federal assault weapons ban won’t be easy. The Brady background checks took seven years, six votes, and three presidents to finally pass. But knowing now how many lives this crucial piece of legislation has saved, can you imagine if they had waited to put it up for a vote until they knew it would pass? We would likely still be waiting. [We need our senators to vote on the assault weapons ban now for all the victims and survivors of mass shootings…]( … for Eduardo Uvaldo, who was gunned down in front of his 6 year old grandson at my hometown 4th of July parade. … for Uziyah Garcia and Jackie Cazares, who were killed in Uvalde, Texas. … for Jessi, whose parents were awoken by a call to tell them their beloved daughter was killed in a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. … for Alex Schachter, who was sitting in class when his murderer shot and killed him with an assault weapon that he fired through a closed door at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Florida. [The majority of Americans support a ban on assault weapons and we won’t stop fighting until these weapons of war are off our streets.]( [Our country has been broken by the senseless killing of its citizens with weapons of war. We know how to fix it. Let’s start today by pressuring Leader Schumer to put the assault weapon ban bill up for a vote before another life is taken and another community is forever changed. Will you join our fight to ban assault weapons by chipping in $15 before midnight? >>]( [Chip in $15 now >>]( [Chip in $25 now >>]( [Chip in $50 now >>]( [Chip in $100 now >>]( [Chip in another amount now >>]( Thanks for your help, Ashbey Beasley, Mass Shooting Survivor turned Activist with a keen interest in taking our country back from the gun lobby        ‚  ‚   BAWN is committed to replacing every cowardly and complacent lawmaker, regardless of party, that denies your right to live without fear of being shot. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out. BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans. But they can’t do this alone. BAWN is relying on your support to kick every coward who refuses to protect our children and families OUT of office. Will you chip in right away?
