We’re utterly heartbroken, {NAME}. We just witnessed the deadliest mass shooting of 2022 in Buffalo, New York. A white supremacist with an assault weapon slaughtered 10 and wounded 3 innocent people. He used an AR-15 just like was used in the mass shooting in Boulder, Orlando, Parkland, Las Vegas, Sandy Hook, and so many other places. [But still Republicans refuse to acknowledge the harm of assault weapons and are preventing gun safety measures at every turn. It’s despicable. It’s horrifying. It’s reprehensible. That’s why we need to UNSEAT every lawmaker who opposes banning assault weapons that allow gunmen to devastate our communities. So we’re counting on 815 of our top supporters to step up and help us defeat DeSantis and all his minions. At a park in [North Carolina]( 7 were shot and wounded. At an Asian church in [California]( 1 was killed and 5 wounded. At a flea market in [Texas]( 2 were killed and 3 wounded. At a supermarket in [New York]( 10 were killed and 3 wounded. Downtown in Milwaukee, [Wisconsin]( 17 were wounded. [That’s 13 innocent people murdered and 35 wounded in just THREE days.]( [It’s never been more urgent that we all stand together to say enough is enough and end gun violence once and for all. But first we need to fund gun-sense candidates who are challenging lawmakers that remain silent while our communities are ripped apart by gun violence.
