We’re speechless, {NAME}. Tomorrow it will be 25 years since the massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado. Gunmen armed with a semi-automatic rifle, other high-capacity guns, and explosives, stormed the school and shot dozens – slaughtering 12 students and one teacher. At the time, the tragedy was unprecedented and unparalleled in bloodshed. [Now, gun violence is the leading cause of death in American children.]( In the last decade alone, there have been more than [1,200]( incidents of gunfire at schools. In the last decade alone, gunfire at schools has killed more than [400]( innocents and injured nearly [900]( more people. In the first months of this year alone, there have already been [16+]( school shootings. This is so common children are taught how to survive a mass shooting in their school. It’s absolutely disgusting and unconscionable. [And we have to do everything in our power to put an end to these tragedies.]( [{NAME}, we just can’t afford another 25 years of our children dying in the halls of their schools. But gun-lobby-backed cowards like Trump think we should “get over” the endless bloodshed on school campuses. Absolutely not. We will NEVER forget or “get over” all the loved ones lost in senseless violence in school classrooms, libraries, and cafeterias. That’s why we’re urgently asking 525 supporters to join our cause before midnight and help us REBUKE Trump’s cruelty by rushing support to the brave gun safety leaders like President Biden fighting against him. Will you chip in $15 before midnight? The more you give, the more we can give to gun safety Democrats and candidates working to protect our students from school shootings, keep the likes of Trump out of power, and END gun violence for good. >>]( Here are the facts: [1.]( School shootings have reached their [HIGHEST]( recorded levels since before the Columbine shooting in 1999. [2.]( Gun violence is the [LEADING]( cause of death for American children. [3.]( The rate of children dying from firearms in the US [DOUBLED]( in just eight years. [Hear us loud and clear, {NAME}: Our children deserve better.]( [We’re working tirelessly to ensure that kids can go to school without fear of dying at the barrel of a gun. We’re not going to stop until gun violence no longer threatens our children and our families. But for far too long, complacent gun-lobby-backed Republicans have REFUSED to take action of any kind. They want to bury their heads in the sand, accept blood money from wealthy gun lobby donors, and carry on as usual. Republicans like Trump even want us to “get over” the THOUSANDS of children killed due to guns and the HUNDREDS murdered in their schools. Well, we’re not going to. Instead, we’re putting together a coalition of 525 brave grassroots gun safety champions to show the strength of our movement and prove we’re not backing down until our schools and our children are safe. Will you join us by pitching in $15 before midnight, {NAME}? All contributions go to electing gun safety candidates with the guts to take a stand against the gun lobby to end the scourge of school shootings and protect our children from gun violence. >>]( [Chip in $15 now >>]( [Chip in $25 now >>]( [Chip in $50 now >>]( [Chip in $100 now >>]( [Chip in another amount now >>]( Thanks for all that you do, Team Ban Assault Weapons NOW           BAWN is committed to replacing every cowardly and complacent lawmaker, regardless of party, that denies your right to live without fear of being shot. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out. BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans. But they can’t do this alone. BAWN is relying on your support to kick every coward who refuses to protect our children and families OUT of office. Will you chip in right away?
