Basecamp July Newsletter. [View this email in your browser]( [Basecamp] Happy July! Here are three new things at Basecamp this month. 1. We're thrilled to introduce [Hill Charts]( to Basecamp 3. Go behind the scenes with Jason, David, and Ryan on the [Getting Real YouTube Channel](. See how work actually happens at Basecamp. Watch actual design reviews with Jason, see David break down coding decisions, and pick up new insights on how we work from Ryan. Real design, real code, real strategy - all on the [new Getting Real YouTube Channel](. 3. While you're in the media mood, check out [The REWORK Podcast](. Wailin and Shaun of Basecamp talk about the better way to work and run your business. Every couple weeks they'll bring you unique stories and unconventional wisdom from business owners, including Basecamp's co-founders. [Listen in]( and subscribe today! We're also super excited to announce that our admin department at Basecamp is doubling in size! Yes that's right, we're going from one office administrator to two! For almost 7 years, I've been the sole admin at Basecamp. In that time the number of employees Basecamp has more than doubled. Since the bulk of my job is to support the lovely humans I work with, it's time to share that duty with someone else. Another reason we've hired another admin is that I've decided to pivot into a role we're calling "Head of People Ops". We recently noticed a hiccup in how we function and communicate at Basecamp. We pride ourselves on working in close-knit, fast-paced teams while eschewing strict management structure. But as much as that model works for us, employees were occasionally feeling left without an outlet for thoughts and concerns about how Basecamp works. It's still a very new role that I'm learning as I go. But I'm hoping to help alleviate those feelings through open and honest communication with our lovely humans, so they'll remain happy with Basecamp for a very long time to come. So keep an eye out! An announcement about the identity of our new Admin Assistant will be coming soon, sorta like [this blast from the past]( Until next month, friends! -[Andrea]( at Basecamp Basecamp Still running your business on email, texts and meetings? Stuff slipping? Getting chaotic? Switch to Basecamp. It's the saner, organized way to manage projects and communicate company-wide. It's a game changer.
