Freedom - Travel - Lifestyle [The Backpack Trader]( Undefined, Years ago I placed the trade of my life. I had unwittingly sold the BGP against the US Dollar at the same time that George Soros made the same trade. It became one of the most infamous trades of our time. George Soros wound up breaking the Bank of England with that trade. (The GBP lost about 25% of its value vs the US Dollar.) As for me… Well, I saw a chart pattern I had recently learned about and took a stab at it. To be honest, I didn’t really know what I was doing. But, I won the trade and took my profits. I decided to go backpacking through Europe. On my trip, I picked up a set of bongos and began sitting with the musicians I would meet in each city. (I’m also a drummer.) I loved to perform while backpacking my way through Europe. Anyway, I met a fellow musician from Venezuela while I was in Florence, Italy. We traveled throughout Italy together, performing at bars in exchange for free beer. Months later when I was back in the States, I received a fax (yep! It was that long ago) from my musician friend. He was inviting me to come visit him in South America and travel with his band. I accepted the offer. It was on this trip that I met my wife. 8 months later we were married. And I’m happy to say we’ve been married for more than 24 years now. I’m telling you this story because that one trade changed my life. Trading can do that. It can give you financial freedom and present you with different opportunities that you’ll rarely find working a 9-5 job. I love being able to travel and trade. (In fact, I’m in Europe right now.) What I’m trying to say, is that trading is awesome...once you know what you’re doing. Tomorrow I’ll tell you what transformed my trading and let me quit my daytime job.
