Babbel launches courses in Ukrainian Dear {NAME}, I write to you as the tragedy in Ukraine persists.

Babbel launches courses in Ukrainian [Babbel]( Dear {NAME}, I write to you as the tragedy in Ukraine persists. The sheer scale of suffering continues to shock the global community - whether experiencing a loss ourselves, knowing community members with loved ones affected by the situation or reading the heart-wrenching stories of sorrow and fear. It is clear how integral language learning is for all people, but it is especially critical for displaced communities. Language learning enables access to essential information, reduces communication challenges and empowers connection while fostering mutual understanding across communities. With millions of Ukrainian refugees displaced and fleeing to the EU, there was an urgency to develop these courses within our platform in less than a month. I last wrote to you as we released free access codes for those affected by the conflict. I am writing today to announce that we have launched a Ukrainian language option within our Babbel app, so that Ukrainian speakers can learn German, Polish and English to meet their urgent language needs. As with other Babbel languages, the courses provide a conversational approach rooted in one's native language to enable real-life conversations. Offering language courses for free to those affected by the war in Ukrainian is wholly aligned with our purpose and is undoubtedly the right thing to do. As part of our existing initiatives, Babbel continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by the conflict - including giving free access codes to all refugees and displaced people, offering volunteer support at train stations and borders, and providing office space to selected Berlin-based NGOs supporting Ukrainian refugees. Our Babbel community, learners and employees alike, continue to show up and show compassion for those affected. It moves me to belong to a community willing to give back. Yours sincerely, Arne Schepker (CEO Babbel) [Read more →]( [Google Play]( [App Store]( [Help / FAQ]( [Home]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [YouTube]( [Instagram]( Babbel GmbH, Andreasstraße 72, 10243 Berlin Directors: Arne Schepker, Thomas Holl Register court: Amtsgericht Berlin-Charlottenburg: HRB 110215 No longer interested? The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
