it might just be the answer for writing success [The Writer’ s Life]( July 31, 2023 "And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." – Anaïs Nin Happy Monday, {NAME}! You've probably heard some form of these sayings … "Life always begins one step outside your comfort zone." "If you want to achieve your goals, you must be willing to step out of your comfort zone and take risks." "The only thing stopping you from moving from where you are to where you want to go is your comfort zone." And one of my new favorites is from Jade Trueblood in today's Monday Morning Jumpstart … get the ship out of the harbor. Which I think is paraphrasing, "A ship in the harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for." 😁 No matter. The general message in the public domain is pretty much the same: that nothing happens inside your comfort zone. But is that fact or myth? And what about when it's something new like starting or leveling up your writing business? Jade's special guest, Terri Trespicio has a lot to say on this topic … and a lot of it may run counter to the advice you've always heard. Terri's perspectives on how you create flow to achieve success may not be what you expect to hear — but at the same time, they make total sense. Plus, [she shares in the episode]( how the science has backing from Harvard Business Review. 😉 In today's important discussion about your comfort zone, Jade and Terri break down what needs to happen in it … and what needs to happen out of it … for your business to grow and prosper. It's a lively talk with examples you need to hear directly from Terri … She's fearless at telling it like it is, talking about both your physical and mental state as you tackle a new endeavor. She also reveals when NOT doing something might be the wrong choice. [AWAI Monday Morning Jumpstart with Jade Trueblood and special guest Terri Trespicio on The Comfort Zone Myth]( If you're not familiar with Terri, she's a writer, speaker, and brand adviser. Her TED Talk, "Stop Searching for Your Passion," has already gotten over 8 million views! For the first time ever, Terri will be taking the stage at our live and in-person [Copywriting Success & Getting Clients Bootcamp]( in October. I can't wait to hear her speak, because I've personally already learned so much from her. She REALLY understands how what she teaches applies to writers. I truly believe you have the power to overcome any blockages in your way and achieve whatever goals you set your mind to … for your writing, finances, lifestyle … all of it. Of course, sometimes what you need to make real progress is structure and support. A learning system where you have instructors to teach you skills, mentors to guide you, and a proven five-step plan. 😉 If you'd like some help achieving your personal goals — in or out of your comfort zone — we'd love to help. [Check out how here.]( Then watch [today's Monday Morning Jumpstart]( to discover the two things Terri says you do NOT want to experience on your journey to success (they're easily avoided … she tells you how).
