How far you take it … well, that's up to you. Personally, my favorite part of having a Money-Making Website is not having to find clients. No stress, no deadlines. Clients come to me … and I decide whether to work with them or not. So how do you make money from a Money-Making Website? With passive income. You earn money even when you're not working. Do the work up-front, get the pieces in place, then reap the rewards … whether you're working or not. Let's look at seven different ways to earn passive income from your Money-Making Website … plus a few bonus ideas on other ways to generate income. 1. Google AdSense When you use a search engine like Google, the first few listings are paid ads. Place ads just like these on your Money-Making Website. When I write a new article, I insert a piece of code which inserts Google ads. Google does the hard work. It examines the page to understand what it's about. Then Google places ads relevant to the context of each page, or relevant to a reader's recent search history. When a reader opens my review about battery chargers, they'll be presented with ads related to battery chargers. Or it might show them ads based on their recent search history. Either way, readers are more likely to click on the ads. And every time they click on an ad, I get paid. Even if I published an article six years ago, it keeps earning money … without me doing anything else. 2. Affiliate Marketing Amazon has what's called an Affiliate Program. You join their program and they give you a unique code. Every affiliate link you add to your site includes this code. You earn commission when someone clicks on your link and makes a purchase from Amazon. What's an "affiliate link"? It's a hyperlink (clickable link) to an affiliate's product. It can be text, an image, a button … something a reader can click on. You don't sell any physical products (although you can if you want to). Affiliate networks allow you to link up with businesses who do sell products. You simply send the reader to the business and the business pays you a commission. This way, you don't have the expense and hassle of receiving, storing, and dispatching physical stock. There are many affiliate networks all around the world. Most focus on a particular country or region. They match businesses with affiliates like yourself. Add a link once and it earns you money, without you doing anything more. 3. Advertising Sell advertising space on your Money-Making Website. These are usually banner ads displaying on your site. After your site's been active for a few years, you'll start getting enquiries from businesses who want to advertise. You choose advertisers who are a good fit with your niche. You'll usually charge for a block of space on your site. Charge a monthly or yearly fee, or take a small percentage of the revenue generated by the ad. The options are flexible and negotiable with the advertiser. 4. Product Reviews Before you do a product review, you first need a product to review. To get the ball rolling, review products you already have. Then contact the business whose product you just reviewed, include a link to your review, and ask them to send other products to review. When you've done the review, you get to keep the products. If there's something you need and the business is willing to send one for review, you'll get it for free! Product reviews are fun … and most importantly, readers love them! Readers like them because they provide useful information from someone who's actually using the product. They're an ideal way to pre-sell. If you add an affiliate link at the end, you'll make sales. You make sales and get free products. What a deal! 5. Courses and E-books Courses and e-books are electronic; they live online. Once you build a course or write a few e-books, your work's done (apart from promotions to keep the sales flowing). Physical borders between countries aren't an issue. Anyone from anywhere in the world can buy it … the whole world's your market. And there's no physical product — no printing costs, no delivery costs, no hassles. Once you've written the course or e-book, you have zero costs. Every sale is passive income, clear profit. 6. Stock Photos Do you like taking photos? Sell stock photos. Join an online stock photo "store," where you get paid when someone buys your photos. Or add an online store to your Money-Making Website and sell them direct. This way, you have better control over your intellectual property. Photos and short videos taken with any modern smartphone are fine. You don't need to be a professional. 7. Memberships Memberships are an excellent way to grow your income. Why? You're targeting your most loyal followers, so they're more likely to buy from you. Offer a paid members-only area. Members pay to access this special area and in return, you offer high-value information, discounts, and exclusive offers. You could also give paid members exclusive access to a regular Q&A, where you answer their questions via Zoom, Facebook Live, or similar. Membership sections help to build a tight-knit community.
