365 is just too long … [The Writer’ s Life]( January 2, 2023 "The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary." – Vince Lombardi Happy New Year, {NAME}! Or rather … Happy first quarter of 2023! 🥳🎉 Around here, that's how we look at it … Because really, January has no magical powers. In my experience, it's much more effective to look at the year in 90-day blocks — rather than 365 individual days. There's simply too much pressure on a year … For starters, the year seems so long. It's hard to stay motivated. And if you "fall off" the resolutions (only 36% will make it past January), you feel like you failed. Who wants that!? So, let's look at this year in quarters, shall we? Each one, presents an opportunity to kick things up … set realistic and manageable goals … and reset as needed to adapt to whatever 2023 has in store for us. I'm not saying you can't look down the path … Having big goals (dreams!) can be very motivating. And you want to know where you're headed, so that your quarterly plans move you forward in the right direction. Say you want to lose 20 pounds this year … Your Q1 goal might be to lose 5-7 pounds. Feels more attainable right? You can easily put together a plan to get there. PLUS, you'll get to celebrate FOUR times instead of just once. #quadbonus So {NAME}, what do you want to accomplish in your writing career in the next 90 days? [Feeling confident about your copywriting skills?]( Professional portfolio completed? First client? Third client? New retainer client? Increasing your fees? Or maybe making more money than you did in the quarter before? There's no right answer here … Just write down where you want to be when I check back on April 1st to see what your second-quarter goals will be!
