And clients need more than just one … [The Writer’ s Life]( November 17, 2022 "Don't be afraid to give up the good to go for the great." – John D. Rockefeller Have you heard these ABCs before, {NAME}? Always Be Closing They were made popular by the movie Glengarry Glen Ross (as well as "coffee being for closers!"). And have since become a salesperson's motto … Because closing a sale is how they make their money. But in the B2B world (business-to-business), where companies are selling to other companies, it can take weeks — even months — to close a sale … And a LOT of touches and conversations along the way. Why? Because B2B buyers are often making big purchasing decisions for their companies, with large sums of money at stake. So the sales reps … who don't get paid until they close the sale … need to be armed with content and sales tools to keep their buyers moving forward. Things like … emails, battlecards, pitch decks, and more … all designed to help them always be closing! (More on these below.) Traditionally, a company's marketing team would provide whatever materials they could for the sales team to use. But marketing and sales require very different strategies. And as sales reps discovered, often the materials provided by the marketing team didn't convey the right sales message. So recently, these smart sales folks have taken matters into their own hands, and created a massive demand for a new type of writer just for them … The Sales Enablement Copywriter [As I show you in my report on the opportunity here](, Sales Enablement Copywriting is opening doors fast for writers. Online searches from companies wanting help with this are increasing by 51% a year … And the number of prospective clients who are ready to hire qualified writers has quadrupled. The job? Write the materials that help the sales team sell more. But get this … The copy you write is NOT salesy! Sales reps do the selling. You simply write content that provides the facts and gives them the opportunity to keep the conversation moving toward the close. And the projects? They're fun, short, and follow a template that's easy to replicate again and again and again. For example … Email Templates $1,500–$2,500 You might already be familiar with the email writing opportunity on the marketing side of things. And if so, you may be scratching your head after seeing those fees. But they're right! In the B2B world, sales reps use email on a regular basis to keep in touch with potential buyers throughout the various stages of the buying cycle. Cold prospect emails, follow-up emails, proposal emails, post-sale emails … They're all sales tools they need. But they don't want to write them! They want to grab the template, fill in the specifics, hit Send, and move on to the next call. And wait until you see the kinds of emails you'll be writing … I'm talking under 125 words! [>> I include a good example here around page 7.]( And right after that one you'll also see an example of my favorite project … Battlecards $1,000–$2,000 How fun is that name?!? These are simple one-sheet documents that contain ALL the key points a salesperson might need when on the phone or face-to-face with a prospect … Why their product or service is the best, why the competition doesn't hold a candle to them, why their solution saves money and time … and more. The battlecard is like a cheat sheet. So salespeople want to be armed with one for each product they're trying to sell. And the information? It's given to you by the sales team!! This is one of the many, MANY reasons I love this opportunity so much. There's no research or brainstorming big ideas … you are literally handed all the facts, and then you get to go to your writing cave and spin out these fun and easy projects. Like this next one … Pitch Decks $2,000–$3,500 A pitch deck is basically a PowerPoint presentation with slides going over the main parts of the offer. [I show you an example of this one here too.]( As you can see, it's just a series of slides … Usually around 50 to 70 … And all you do is supply the little bits of text you see in the picture. (I'm serious — that's it!) The salespeople then pull the slides they need to create a "customized" presentation that suits the needs of the buyer they're trying to close. This is another fun project that pays well and is incredibly valuable to clients. But these three projects are just the beginning! You also have … One-sheets ($1,000–$1,500) Sales proposals (two pages) ($1,000–$1,500) Call scripts ($2,000–$2,500) Customer success stories ($1,200–$2,000) That's over SIX fast, template-based projects that pay AT LEAST $1,000. And you don't get hired to "just write one" … The sales team needs to be able to "mix and match" all these types of content to stay connected to and keep the buyer moving. And they want to make sure the messaging is cohesive and consistent. So, your very first project will likely include a range of projects. $$$!!! No matter where you are in your writing journey, I want you to take a few minutes to get familiar with this opportunity by [reading this](. I also break down the selling process for you, so you can see how it works, and why different pieces of content are needed at different times. It's like a mini-lesson in marketing and sales. 😀 And if you're looking for an "in" to well-paid writing, or you're looking to boost your writing income, it's worth considering sales enablement … Not only is this opportunity unique because it's growing fast and with very few writers with the skills needed to answer the demand … This training is like a "business in a box." Steve Slaunwhite gives you EVERYTHING you need to succeed … including his own templates that will give you speed and professionalism right out of the gate.
