Moving from fear to confidence

I'm a big fan of quotes … I read one every day before journaling, and then turn around and research new ones when I'm writing the daily issue of The Writer's Life. It's interesting to me how one line of copy can impact each of us in a different way based on our own experiences … And many times, meet us exactly where we are in this very moment. The session is on moving past fear towards confidence … but Ted and Jade approach fear from numerous angles that you may have never considered. This first insight they share implies your fears may have nothing to do with what you "think" you're afraid of … Not being a good enough writer … not getting clients … not being paid what you're worth … Ted encourages you to look deeper into your past to see if there's a part of your personal story at the root of the fear — or at the very least, gives the fear power. Now if you just rolled your eyes, stick with me … 😉 I know some of this feels woo woo at times! But after you listen to their personal stories, and the connections made to fear, I'm confident you'll see your own fears in a new light. I also speak from personal experience when I say, the more connections you draw to your past, the more confident you become. Even if you do nothing about them! Sure, the fears will still be there. But they'll have far less power once you have awareness.
