You deserve to be successful, {NAME}

On Monday, Ted talked about knowing your worth as a writer in [this week's Jumpstart]( … First on the practical side: What your words are literally worth to companies you choose to write for, and what you should charge as a result. As well as the emotional side: Feeling worthy to earn such incredible fees. The first is obtained easily enough, simply by doing your homework. You can go through our [Annual Pricing Guide]( and study the [customer journey]( … It's critical that you understand how each piece of copy or content feeds into the company's marketing machine that attracts new prospects, builds relationships with them, converts them to customers, and ultimately turns them into advocates who attract other customers … THAT is how you'll really settle in to the value you provide companies. And why they can't survive without you. The second though, requires self-reflection for many of us … A lot of "self-doubt statements" can swirl around, especially when you're starting out … "Who am I to" … "why should I get to" … "I'm not better than" … "Why can't I be satisfied with" … I'll let you fill in your own. So before you head into the weekend I want to draw attention back to a few lines of the poem Ted shared on Monday called Our Deepest Fear … "We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?" I believe in this wholeheartedly, {NAME} … Who are you not to be the writer you want to be … earning the money you want … living life the way you choose? I believe everyone on this planet deserves to pursue the best life imaginable. And I believe that when you do pursue it, you're not the only one who benefits … Which takes me to the closing lines of the poem: "As we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." Pursuing your best life liberates others to do the same.
