This gets you past any fears you might have about putting yourself out there … April 26, 2022 "

This gets you past any fears you might have about putting yourself out there … [The Writer’ s Life]( April 26, 2022 "There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure." – Paulo Coelho I remember the very first time I put myself out there as a writer, {NAME} … I had pitched a new newsletter idea to Katie and the AWAI team. And even though I had only edited newsletters written by "real writers" up to that point, I asked if I could write it. It took me 7 hours to write my first issue, which was about 800 words. My stomach churned as I revised every single word, numerous times. I submitted the final draft, and got a "good job, go ahead and mail it." Relief washed over me … I had done it!! But then, a new fear creeped in. What about the readers!? [Animated gif image of Home Alone movie scene with main character screaming in fear and running away] That newsletter ultimately turned in to our popular [Wealthy Web Writer]( membership site a year later. But I can still get back to that feeling … The feeling of fear … pressure … vulnerability … It was a lot. Now, it's gotten easier with time and practice … Today, I can write an 800-word newsletter in about 30 minutes. But moving through that fear of the unknown is hard. Especially if you're filled with self-doubt. Ever feel like that, {NAME}? If so, you're in good company! It's one of the biggest roadblocks I come across here at AWAI. Luckily, I'm always on the lookout for ways to get around it. 😉 And this week's writing opportunity tackles it in a way like no other … Mainly because there's very little writing involved! Here's how it works … - With a checklist in-hand, you simply look at a company's website and evaluate each item on the list. - You submit your findings to the company. - You get paid! It's much like a mechanic … when he comes to you in the waiting room to go over the recommended services based on the form he filled out. That mechanic may be very good at doing his job … just like you might be a very good writer. But that first evaluation sets him up for success … You, the car owner, assume something is wrong with your car. The mechanic, with his checklist, has implied authority that he's trained to diagnose what's wrong, and "prescribe" what needs to be fixed. The checklist ensures he considers every possible issue, not stopping on the first one he finds … but continuing to dig until all possible issues are either discovered or cleared. And the exchange is expected. You knew something was wrong! [This writing opportunity is exactly the same.]( Only you're assessing content … not a car. 😉 Easy, right? But it gets better … As a writer, you first GET PAID for your diagnosis. AND, you've just handed over a list of issues with the company's content! Who better to fix them than YOU? For an additional fee of course … That's right — this guaranteed-to-get-you-in-the-door-AND-get-you-paid-to-submit-a-proposal writing opportunity sets the stage for even more paychecks. You don't have to write the pieces they need … But like the mechanic, you'll be leaving money on the table if you don't. [>> Go here now to explore this unique writing opportunity.]( You'll see a great example of how it works in the real world — and how simple it really is! Tomorrow I'm going to show you how to use this strategy right away to help businesses in your local area. They have a HUGE opportunity with Google right now if their content is up to snuff. And with most of their business coming from local search, you'll be the rainmaker they've been waiting for … Because you're going to fix the one thing that 51% of Google searches are looking for … and that most local businesses don't have on their website! Get ready to tell them what it is and how to fix it! #rainmaker See you tomorrow! [Rebecca Matter’ s signature] Rebecca P.S. New to the world of paid writing and want to get your first paid byline?
