It’s the key differentiator between whether or not you land paid assignments… May 24, 2024 [The Writer’ s Life]( "I'm a big believer that life changes as much as you want it to." — Martin Freeman Hi {NAME}, If you've been trying to land clients but haven't yet, I can almost guarantee you're missing something … Following up consistently with your prospects! You see, many beginner copywriters send an outreach message but never follow up. The problem is, some experts estimate that only 2% of business deals are landed after one outreach attempt … Meaning you're leaving lots of money on the table if you don't follow up! Now, you don't need to go bananas by sending dozens of messages. But here's your key takeaway: Anytime you reach out to contact someone about a project, make sure you follow up at least once. If you've already spoken with a prospect, you can follow up more regularly. Follow-up shows your dream clients that you're serious about wanting to work with them. So embrace it as part of building your business. Eventually, you'll have more clients than you know what to do with. I hope you've enjoyed the five marketing tactics I've shared with you this week. And ideally you're already putting them to use and seeing results. But before I leave you, just a quick heads-up that AWAI has opened their Memorial Day Sale today … where they're offering many of their bestselling training programs with the best discounts you'll ever see — up to 90% off!
