Then an alien race finds the “historic documents” of TV reruns and thinks the cast is actual a star fleet command, and transports them to outer space to help them battle a vicious warlord. The sci-fi nods fly fast and furious as the actors become an actual team, culminating in the best Star Trek movie that’s not a Star Trek movie.
