Democracy is under full-scale attack. The fascist forces that led the world into darkness more than 80 years ago are rising again, launching a massive propaganda war to turn us against one another. Making us distrust, hate, even kill each other! In Germany, extremists secretly plotted to deport millions of citizens to Africa. Hitler had similar plans -- sending millions of Jews to Madagascar. In Brazil, attacks on Indigenous People doubled under far-right President Bolsonaro. Almost 800 were ruthlessly killed! And in the US, Trump promises a "bloodbath" if he loses the election. We can't stand by in silence -- we have to fight back. Now!For months, Avaaz has been planning a massive citizens’ resistance to counter the uprising. To do it, we need to immediately deploy teams of investigators, communication experts, grassroots organisers, and launch massive public actions -- building a global resistance against a fascist takeover. But to do that, we need urgent funding.Crunch elections are just months away, in Europe, the US, Mexico and beyond, so we need to act fast!Chip in now -- and if we raise enough, we'll work with some of the best political and grassroots specialists in the world, helping to defend our democracies from fascism. Our grandparents said "never again!" and now it's on us to live up to their promise. If we don't fight for democracy, no one will. [Take Action Now!] Dear friends, Democracy is under full-scale attack. Now! For months, Avaaz has been planning a massive citizens’ resistance to counter the uprising. To do it, we need to immediately deploy teams of investigators, communication experts, grassroots organisers, and launch massive public actions -- building a global resistance against a fascist takeover. But to do that, we need urgent funding. Crunch elections are just months away, in Europe, the US, Mexico and beyond, so we need to act fast! Chip in now -- and if we raise enough, we'll work with some of the best political and grassroots specialists in the world, helping to defend our democracies from fascism. Our grandparents said "never again!" and now it's on us to live up to their promise. If we don't fight for democracy, no one will. [I'LL DONATE $2]( [I'LL DONATE $4]( [I'LL DONATE $8]( [I'LL DONATE $16]( [I'LL DONATE $32]( [OTHER AMOUNT]( We need to fight back -- and we know how to do it! In Brazil, we helped push back against disinformation in an election that saw Bolsonaro defeated. And in Spain, the extremist party Vox was so worried about our elections work, they took us to court. But now we have to be bigger, louder, and more powerful than ever before. If enough of us chip in, we could: - Launch a massive "get-out-the-vote" citizens' resistance to stop a far-right takeover in elections this year -- in Europe and around the world; - Hire top-notch investigators to expose the far right's dangerous plotting against women, 'foreigners', and our planet; - Run massive attention-grabbing actions showing that we're not surrendering to the hatred of the far-right; - Recruit and deploy political strategists and communication experts to drive massive turnout in key elections; and, - Build alliances with influencers and grassroots groups to mobilise people power like never before. This year’s elections will define our world's future. Historians will look back at this moment as a turning point -- either towards democracy, or away from it. We need to urgently fight back. If you want to be a part of the resistance, if you want to stop extremism, and help build a better world -- give what you can now: [I'LL DONATE $2]( [I'LL DONATE $4]( [I'LL DONATE $8]( [I'LL DONATE $16]( [I'LL DONATE $32]( [OTHER AMOUNT]( Avaaz means voice in many languages.
