Hope you're enjoying your 2023 so far! I've started the year out on a good foot. I'm working on being the best version of myself in all areas of my life. This means finding time to be more than just K Webster, the author, and finding time to be Kristi (wife, mother, friend). I've been enjoying playdates with my friend, Erin. Pictured above is me hanging out at her house while we meal prepped for our families last week. If you haven't seen the above meme, then I hope you enjoy it haha. I had several readers and friends send me this meme saying it reminds them of me. It sure gave me a tickle! 🤣 I also wanted to get really vulnerable here for a moment. I know people see authors (and entrepreneurs) who seem to have it all together, but we're just like you, dealing with the same life stuff. I'm in the process of trying to retire my husband. He's lived with chronic pain for most of my daughter's life. In an effort to help his body heal, we've set out on a mission to fully retire him. I'm hoping without the stress of running and maintaining his own business, he'll start to feel better. Already, with this hope on the horizon, I'm seeing a positive change in him (he went grocery shopping with me for the first time in years and even cooked dinner twice this week!). Feel free to send good vibes our way as we navigate this new territory. In a few months I'll be the sole breadwinner in my home and that comes with its own set of challenges. I'm ready though! I want to do this for my husband as he's done so much to help me realize my own dream of being a writer/author. I will try and keep you all updated on the process! Blue says hi! As we move out of January and into February, I challenge you to focus on finding joy in your life. For me, I've found joy in the simplest forms: hanging with a friend, grocery shopping with the hubs, doing 10 minute daily Pilates exercises to get my body moving, reading lots of books, and pinning endless recipes on Pinterest.
