In case you’ve missed it, we’ve just released the SEO Penalty Pack to the public! And it’s heavily discounted for the next few days (80% off) to help out those who need it most. If you’re looking for voodoo tactics to recover your rankings, this is not it. It’s 100% above board SEO tactics we’ve used ourselves (more details on that below) and to help several people recover at least some of the traffic they lost during Google updates. We’ve also made it easy to implement with custom templates, checklists & decision trees as well as step-by-step over the shoulder walkthrough videos. If you’re ready to join in, click the button below. If you want the full story, keep reading. [Save 80% on the SEO Penalty Pack]( Last October, I was catching up with an acquaintance in the industry, he doesn’t want me to reveal his name let’s call him Johny. “What’s up Johny? how’s business?” “Not good man, not good.. with the latest core updates and HCU, my site went from up to 2,500 organic clicks per day to barely over 1,000…” “What? I thought your site was pretty good.” “Yeah me too..” “Do you mind if I take a look” “Nah go ahead” So I went away and spent a few hours going through his site furiously taking notes. And while at first, the site did look good. I mean he does test the products he reviews, he uses some kind of quantitative scoring, shows his experience, etc. I did notice one big issue with his site. His “hero” pages were very good, very well researched and high value and deserved to rank. But he had a ton of “less worked on” pages that were missing a bunch of info on the topic, or even were just reposts of his newsletters. He also had a stuff that was outdated, but because it never really ranked, it just lingered there. As a result, while his best pages were excellent, his site was being “dragged down” by all this dead weight and if Google took 100 random URLs on his domain, he probably wouldn’t score that well because of them. So I hoped on a call to explain this to him: “You know, for these sitewide updates, Google samples random indexed pages on your site and decides the fate of your entire domain based on what they find there. If you want to win Google updates, you need to put your best profile forward and remove the stuff that’s dragging you down. While before, you could throw shit at the wall and see what sticks, with the exponential growth of AI content, Google can’t afford this anymore. So if you cost them too much while adding too little value, you’re out.” He paused. “So you’re telling me that if I remove my lower quality pages from the index, I have more chances of doing well with the others?” “Yep, that’s exactly what I’m saying. We’ve actually done it pre-emptively on Authority Hacker a few months ago and our traffic has bumped twice since then. We actually ended up removing 60% of all our indexed pages after the audit. Here is the graph:” “Wow, ok, so you think if I no index or delete my thin pages and update or remove the average content I have a shot at getting more traffic even if I make my site quite a bit smaller?” “Yeah, actually, as you do that, you’ll find outdated stuff that probably has good links that are being completely wasted on that page. If you redirect it to a page that actually has a shot at ranking, you can often bump your traffic up from a page that was generating 0 visitors. That’s how we rank #1 for “Best AI Writing Software” above SEMRush, Tech Radar and Zapier, both DR 90+ for example.” “That’s… insane. Ok, I’ll get to work but it’s a lot to organize”. “Don’t worry I just sent you my Notion template to make the audit a lot faster and easier” “Nice, thanks!” And off he went. A few months later, I DMed him again to give him my class “how’s it going?” He told me he had no indexed 90% of his website. I got a bit scared but then I looked at the graph. It wasn’t a full recovery yet, but his traffic went from lows of 1,000 clicks per day back up to 2,000-2,200 and the downward trend had reversed. He thanked me for the help and went back to focus on his business. Now ever since, his traffic has stagnated (he didn’t send me a new screenshot since) even through the current core update that’s still rolling out so I’m not going to tell you this method has “skyrocketed” his site. But it has massively reduced his loss and erased the site’s downward trajectory, giving him a shot at growth again. The system Johny and us used, is the exact same system documented in extreme detail inside the [SEO Penalty Pack](. We also include the templates, checklists and decision trees I shared with him. So, if like Johny, you think this system could help you, don’t miss out the 80% OFF discount closing soon.
