(FTNT). The 50-Day EMA and 100-Day EMA are moving average indicator lines that can provide buy and sell signals when used together. When the shorter-term 50-Day EMA crosses above the longer-term 100-Day EMA, this indicates a price uptrend and gives us a buy signal. When the shorter-term 50-Day EMA crosses below the longer-term 100-Day EMA, this indicates a price downtrend and gives us a sell signal. As the chart shows, on December 16th, 2020, the FTNT 50-Day EMA, crossed above the 100-Day EMA, indicating a buy signal. For this kind of crossover to occur, a stock has to be in a strong bullish trend. As you can see, the 50-Day EMA is still above the 100-Day EMA meaning the ‘buy’ signal is still in play. As long as the 50-Day EMA remains above the 100-Day EMA, the stock is more likely to keep trading at new highs and should be purchased. Our initial price target for FTNT stock is 350.00 per share. [image] Alright folks, the ES (S&P 500 futures) is trading 4511. My pivot number is 4509. My short-term target is 4539. As the short-term buy signal I had on Friday played out, it’s easy to see how fast the 3 trillion dollars on the sidelines can go for stocks. However, do not forget that inflation is the number one Achilles heel of our economy, and at some point the feckless Federal Reserve board is going to figure out it’s not transitory. Going forward look for inflationary type stocks, avoid China and avoid bonds. ~ TBUZ [image] [image] Keep an eye on PG (Procter & Gamble). Yesterday’s premarket earnings report included language regarding inflationary and transportation pressures causing the stock to gap down. This Consumer Staples stock has a strong seasonality this week and should be watched to see what the market really thinks about these pressures and for value trading opportunities.
