A Non Partisan 501c4 KAIROS CONVERSATION: From Super Tuesday to State Of The Union Join Michael Blak

[View this email in your browser]( A Non Partisan 501c4 KAIROS CONVERSATION: From Super Tuesday to State Of The Union Join Michael Blake (Founder & CEO, KAIROS: DEMOCRACY PROJECT) Wednesday, March 6th and Thursday, March 7th at 11pm ET for a virtual livestream. There is a lot riding on the outcome of Super Tuesday, particularly for voters who feel that their voices are not being heard. Young voters and BIPOC voters are particularly frustrated. They are tired of being courted by candidates solely when races become dangerously close. Michael Blake, Founder & CEO of Atlas Strategy Group, is working to change that. Blake created [Kairos: Democracy Project]( in an effort to get young voters and voters of color to the polls, both on Super Tuesday and in November, when the stakes will be even higher. Part of making that happen is by educating both groups on the day-to-day benefits of a strong Democracy. “For Democracy to prevail, Democrats need to win the House, hold the Senate and win the presidency — none of which will happen without the Black vote,” Blake said in a statement. On Wednesday, Blake is hosting a livestream discussion breaking down what the results of Super Tuesday could mean for November’s general election, as well as the next steps in store for Kairos. On Thursday, Blake will discuss President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, which is scheduled for that same night, and the next steps following Biden’s speech. Livestream Details When: 11:00 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, March 6 and Thursday, March 7 Where: Virtual How to join: Watch on [Instagram here]( on [Facebook here]( or on [X here]( Special guests: Anthony Coley, political analyst and former public affairs director for the U.S. Department of Justice, will join Michael on Thursday. More guests to be announced soon. Super Tuesday is ultimately the true start of the campaign for president. The results from the 16 state and territorial primaries will determine if former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley stands a chance at stopping former President Donald Trump from becoming the Republican candidate. In addition, more than a third of Republican delegates will be assigned based on Tuesday’s results. About a third of Democratic delegates will also be decided March 5. Wednesday and Thursday’s livestreams will be Kairos’ inaugural public conversations, according to Blake. Besides election results, topics will include the Democratic work being done on the ground to persuade voters of color nationwide to get out and vote. The livestream is sponsored by Kairos and Atlas. Founded in 2013, Atlas develops partnerships between multinational entities and communities of color, identifies talent at national conferences and implements diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as social justice programs within organizations. Blake was elected in 2014 to serve his native New York as assemblyman for the city’s 79th Assembly District. He also served as associate director of intergovernmental affairs and public engagement in the Obama White House. While in Washington, Michael created the White House Urban Entrepreneurship series, was part of the team that passed the 2010 Affordable Care Act and helped gain passage of a student loan bill that lowered the cost of attending college. As an assemblyman in his beloved native Bronx, Michael took on New York City real estate developers, secured millions of dollars to improve public housing, ensured employees of women- and minority-owned businesses are paid fairly and quickly and brought Obama’s “My Brother’s Keeper” to his home state to support young men of color.
