Join the fight for Democracy by helping us mobilize and engage Communities of Color and Young Adults through Issue Advocacy and awareness on the impact of safeguarding our Democracy on our everyday lives. John Lewis said it best: "When you see something that is not right, you must say something. You must do something. Democracy is not a state. It is an act, and each generation must do its part to help build what we called the Beloved Community, a nation and world society at peace with itself." As Non Partisan 501c4, [KAIROS: Democracy Project]( aims to create a more just and equitable society for all. The core of this programmatic effort is to build, engage, educate, and activate a diverse community of elected leaders, community leaders, thought leaders, business leaders and influencers. This will be on the ground work with in-person events, community festivals, and educating people in those communities where they are. We achieve this through various initiatives, including: - Digital mobilization program with local and national Influencers and Surrogates to connect the principles of Democracy to someone's Day-to-Day issues. - Organizing community conversations (in person and virtual) across the country with various community of elected leaders, organizational community leaders, thought leaders, and influencers. The goal is to host 30 convenings over the course of this program. This part of the program will be coordinated with local leaders around the country. - On site event activations with a large presence of People of Color and young adults from national Battleground states and congressional districts with large diverse populations. These events will be targeted around other cornerstone gatherings such as the Democratic National Convention, Republican National Convention, and large associations such as the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Congressional Black Caucus, Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and others. - Developing a sophisticated outreach plan to different communities and allied organizations to amplify the data-driven messaging around safeguarding institutions protecting and serving Democracy. This will include allocating a portion of the funds raised to mobilization grants for this effort to the distribution of grants for on the ground organizations to access if it fulfills our social welfare strategic purposes.
