Statement from Former DNC Vice Chair and NY Assemblymember Michael Blake on President Clinton’s

[View this email in your browser]( Statement from Former DNC Vice Chair and NY Assemblymember Michael Blake on President Clinton’s Remarks at the 2024 DNC President Clinton laid out the case for Kamala Harris tonight in stark terms with his usual compelling and charming manner. As a former President and an elder statesman, he has a unique perspective, so we should listen carefully when he talks about what is at stake in this election. We can move our nation into a future with greater freedom and joy with Kamala Harris – or we can stay fixated on the past and be governed by fear. The choice is painfully clear.  Donald Trump, JD Vance, and their extreme Project 2025 will further reduce women’s freedom, offer tax breaks for billionaires at the expense of working Americans, and hurt Black families by undoing criminal justice reforms, crippling the public education system, and cutting Medicaid and Medicare.  Rather than this dark vision, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz believe in a brighter future where we strengthen the Affordable Care Act to make healthcare more affordable, invest in our education system so more children can get ahead, and protect workers and reduce costs so families can achieve their American Dream.  That is what Kamala Harris means when she talks about a future filled with freedom, and yes, hope. And I believe that is what most Americans want too. [Facebook icon]( [Instagram icon]( [Website icon]( [LinkedIn icon]( [YouTube icon]( [X icon]( Copyright (C) 2024 Atlas Strategy Group.
