Too often, society says that Black Men don’t show up or we are not engaged. It couldn’t be further from the truth. From Vote To Live to KAIROS DEMOCRACY PROJECT to Democracy In Action, we are speaking the truth to our neighbors. Black Men are Ridin' with Biden. We, as Black Men, won’t be silent in 2024. President Biden and Vice President Harris continue to provide positive, transformational, and inspirational benefits to the lives of Black Men, even if the policy doesn’t explicitly say “Black Men.” When Black jobs are created by Black Men entrepreneurs because of increased federal contracts, Black Men win. When insulin is capped at $35 per month to manage the debilitating effects of diabetes, Black Men win. When student loans are forgiven after our graduation—and yes, Black Men do graduate!—Black Men win. When policies are focused on homeownership so all of us can provide for our families, Black Men win. Let us be clear, Black Men are a part of ensuring the Democrats win in November. Our presidential candidate is President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Our vice-presidential candidate is Kamala Harris. We are focused on helping our brothers, from the barbershops to our Black-business shops, learn about Trump-Vance’s Project 2025 so that Black men don’t lose. IF—and we stress IF—President Biden chooses not to run for a second term, we call on him to release the delegates earned by the Biden-Harris campaign to Vice President Harris. We don’t have to go and find a savior or great hope elsewhere. We already have it in our Vice President. Let us be clear, Black folk are the base of our party.
