[View this email in your browser]( Statement from CEO of KAIROS DEMOCRACY PROJECT & Former DNC Vice Chair & New York Assembly Member Michael Blake re: President Biden's Press Conference With the world watching, President Biden made it clear that one Presidency and one nation must be measured than more than one debate. His answers were substantive in policy, complex and detailed, especially on Foreign Affairs. His thoughtful reply that being a Transitional President has been extended due to the depth of the problems he inherited is very real. Yes, he had some pauses and uncomfortable moments. But, I would prefer his moments of a mistake than us making a mistake of returning a 34 time Convicted Felon who led an Insurrection and wants to implement Project 2025. You canât deny us our freedoms if we elect men and women to represent us from a place of honesty and truth. âYou donât think our democracy is under siege?â President Biden asked us tonight. The answer is yes, and by President Biden who selflessly seeks to serve our great nation as opposed to Former President Trump who only wants to serve himself. President Biden told us tonight whatâs at stake: our democracy or a government led by fascism, our freedom or a tribunal stripping us of our independence. 'We have never been here' is right. We cannot forget the four years under President Trump. We will deny Trump the power of the presidency. We have learned that he is destructive to our people. Our time is now to protect our right to exist freely in this nation. We canât let Project 2025 sweep our lands. Our moment is to rise in the morning, organize during the day, and remind the nation to vote wherever our voices can be heard. âDo not pervert justice or show partiality. Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the Lord your God is giving you." We must choose Diplomacy instead of Dictatorship, Foreign Policy instead of a Felon, Economy instead of Excuses. President Biden stood before the world once again tonight and showed that the Leader of the Free World is still ready to lead.
