Hi {NAME} -- Florida. Texas. Georgia. What do these states have in common? They are all-important swing states led by radical Republican governors who are dismantling the foundations of our democracy with stifling new voter suppression laws. And it's not just those states. At least 389 bills in 48 states have been introduced that would limit citizens' voting rights. It's also true that these bills that demand strict ID requirements to vote, limit polling places and hours, and even outlaw providing water to voters in line all disproportionately affect voters of color. This is a coordinated effort by extremists in the Republican Party who want to change the electorate to make it whiter and more conservative so they can win elections without support from the majority of Americans. {NAME}, we can't allow this to be the new normal. Republicans think they can rig elections with their Jim Crow-style voter suppression laws, but we're not going to let them get away with it. Republicans have tried to limit voting rights for years now, and Democrats still win elections. In 2022, Democrats are going to have to win by out-organizing and out-working our opponents at the ballot box. The stakes are clear: Democrats will either win in 2022 or democracy will cease to exist in many parts of the country. [We're setting a goal in the next few days of raising $8,000 to combat voter suppression and get the necessary resources to candidates who will be running in states with restricted voting rights. {NAME}, we really need you on this one. Can you chip in $10 right now and help us protect our democracy?](/G1QRais8aBEjTUyqy5G9sYttb6dxc8IsxDXYWQ-MuH8=?refcode=ASP_20210620_GEN_FDR_J) If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $10](/G1QRais8aBEjTUyqy5G9sYttb6dxc8IsxDXYWQ-MuH8=?refcode=ASP_20210620_GEN_FDR_J&express_lane=true&amount=10) [DONATE $25](/G1QRais8aBEjTUyqy5G9sYttb6dxc8IsxDXYWQ-MuH8=?refcode=ASP_20210620_GEN_FDR_J&express_lane=true&amount=25) [DONATE $50](/G1QRais8aBEjTUyqy5G9sYttb6dxc8IsxDXYWQ-MuH8=?refcode=ASP_20210620_GEN_FDR_J&express_lane=true&amount=50) [DONATE $100](/G1QRais8aBEjTUyqy5G9sYttb6dxc8IsxDXYWQ-MuH8=?refcode=ASP_20210620_GEN_FDR_J&express_lane=true&amount=100) [DONATE $500](/G1QRais8aBEjTUyqy5G9sYttb6dxc8IsxDXYWQ-MuH8=?refcode=ASP_20210620_GEN_FDR_J&express_lane=true&amount=500) [DONATE OTHER](/G1QRais8aBEjTUyqy5G9sYttb6dxc8IsxDXYWQ-MuH8=?refcode=ASP_20210620_GEN_FDR_J) America's story is one of progress in the face of obstacles. 2022 is no different.
