Hi {NAME}, On March 26, 1790, the Naturalization Act was signed into law, prohibiting non-white people from becoming citizens of the United States. Over 200 years later, the Asian community is still suffering from the effects of the racism our country was founded upon. Asian American and Pacific Islander elders are being physically assaulted in the streets. AAPI children are afraid to go back to school. And we're still reeling from the murders of 6 Asian women in a racially-motivated killing spree in Atlanta this week. That's why, on March 26, we're inviting you to join us for a social media campaign to #StopAsianHate. Ending this horrific spike in hate incidents starts with people like you speaking up about this growing problem. [Graphic reads, "Join us for #StopAsianHate Virtual Action Day, Friday, March 26, 2021. Take a stand! Speak up by posting a statement condemning hateful attacks against AAPIs. Fight DiscrinimAsian! Please use #StopAsianHate to participate!] {NAME}, join us in raising awareness for the AAPI community. All it takes to participate is posting your message of support for AAPI communities using the hashtag #StopAsianHate on Friday, March 26. If we all join together and raise our voices against anti-AAPI racism, we can keep our communities safe. Thank you, {NAME}. We're so grateful for your support in the fight against discrimination and racism.
