But Mitch McConnell has made it clear: as long as he runs the Senate, that bill will never become law, and more Americans will continue to die in preventable shootings. On the House side, Republicans like Kevin McCarthy and Devin Nunes have become Trump’s personal cheerleading squad while doing everything in their power to derail the impeachment inquiry. They’ve made it clear: they don’t work for the American people -- they work for Donald Trump. But, led by women and people of color, the House Democrats are fighting back.
