The ASPCA is assisting in the rescue of nearly 200 dogs and cats from filthy and dangerous conditions in Louisiana. Help support our lifesaving efforts! [Breaking News]( [Nearly 200 Dogs and Cats Rescued in Louisiana]( Breaking News: [This week, the ASPCA was on the ground in Clarence, Louisiana, assisting in the rescue of nearly 200 dogs and cats who were discovered in filthy and dangerous conditions.]( Many of the animals—including puppies and pregnant dogs—were living in an extremely crowded mobile home, among their own feces and urine, with an overwhelming odor of ammonia. Some dogs and cats suffered from untreated medical issues that required immediate veterinary attention. [Donate]( We responded to an urgent request for help from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, and worked alongside the Louisiana SPCA and Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center. We are assisting on the ground with animal removal and transport, evidence collection, crime scene processing and other critical operations.
