Cruel breeders are taking advantage of people looking for pets during the pandemic. Help us protect and rescue more animals in need today. Your gift will make a big impact on the lives of animals in need. Thank you for supporting the ASPCA. [Fight for Puppy Mill Victims Now]( {NAME}, As the effects of the pandemic continue to take their toll on millions, it's unfathomable to think that anyone would use this time to take advantage of others for profit. [But even in the height of the pandemic, the commercial puppy industry has continued to breed and ship out puppies—taking advantage of the countless Americans who have sought out pets during this difficult, anxious time.]( My name is Jennie Lintz, and in my role as the ASPCA’s Puppy Mill Initiative Director, I've seen more than enough of this industry’s callous disregard for animals. It's not unusual to find puppy mill dogs living in horrendous conditions—sick, crowded and neglected, without basic essentials such as fresh water, food and shelter. [Donate Button]( It’s well-known that dogs from these cruel breeding facilities are prone to a host of ailments, yet they continue to be marketed as perfect to unsuspecting families both online and in stores. Over the summer, puppy mills were trucking puppies into my home state, New York, almost daily, delivering them to pet stores that sold them for thousands of dollars. As so many Americans lost their jobs, the puppy industry was raking in money. [These animals are being treated as nothing more than commodities, used to generate profit during a time when people were seeking companionship.]( This exploitation needs to end now. Your support today can ensure that the ASPCA can continue to fight back against cruel breeding practices and rescue, protect and care for those who need us most. [Donate Button]( Don't let the puppy industry continue to make money from the suffering of innocent animals. We're fighting round-the-clock to ensure that we can be there for animals affected by cruelty and neglect at a moment's notice, but we can’t do it without your help. [Please consider making a lifesaving gift today to help bring relief to more animal victims and fight back against these heinous breeding practices.]( On behalf of the animals we serve, I thank you.
