When does a haystack stop being a haystack, if you take away one piece of hay at a time? And what does a red apple tell you about the color of a raven? Students explore the premises, logic, and conclusions behind these scenarios and many more — strengthening their critical thinking skills and mental flexibility. This 2-day course will run December 3 & 4, Saturday & Sunday, at 1:00–4:00 pm ET (10:00 am – 1:00 pm PT). [Save Your Spot Today]( Why Take This Course? In this course, students have the opportunity to: - Explore unique math and logic topics rarely covered in regular school curriculum through in depth discussion and dialogue. - Strengthen their critical thinking and reasoning skills by interrogating the premises, logic, and conclusions behind famous paradoxes. - Increase their mental flexibility by grappling with complicated questions (these concepts can get pretty twisty!). In general, we recommend that interested students have a basic background in algebra – [Introduction to Algebra A]( or equivalent work.
