Remaining steadfast in our commitment to Black lives [View in a browser]( [Animoto]( [Animoto]( [Black lives matter, today and every day]( [Black lives matter, today and every day]( To our Animoto community, Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when a group of enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were the last in the United States to receive word that they were freed, over two years after President Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation. As we reflect on the racism, violence, and injustice that has plagued our society for centuries, we often feel powerless against the systems ingrained in our world. Today, we are recommitting to the vows we made last year. We will continue to act on the belief that we are not as powerless as we might think. That we all have a voice in this fight, and a responsibility to be allies to our Black employees, businesses, family members, friends, and community. As we head into Juneteenth this weekend, this message is our recommitment to our promise to amplify Black voices at every step. To actively find and intentionally create opportunities to uplift our Black employees, Black-owned business, and Black creators. We care deeply about the Black community. In the post below, you’ll find details on how we will hold ourselves accountable for the promises we’ve made, for years to come. Sincerely, Brad Jefferson CEO & Co-Founder [READ MORE]( [Get Help]( | [Email Preferences]( | [Unsubscribe]( | [Privacy Policy]( [facebook]( [instagram]( [youtube]( [linkedin]( [twitter]( [Animoto 436 Lafayette St, 2nd Fl, New York, NY 10003](#)
