[Angie Craig for Congress]( Today, I filed a complaint against my Republican opponent with the Department of Justice for violating the Ethics in Government Act, {NAME}. Here’s why: The deadline for congressional candidates to file a personal financial disclosure came and went on May 16th. My opponent not only failed to file on time — nearly two months later, he hasn’t filed at all. Personal financial disclosures are a critical part of ensuring transparency in our elections. Voters deserve to know where candidates’ financial interests lie, and we need to expose any conflicts of interests. By withholding his report, my opponent is effectively hiding his finances from the public — including the voters he claims to want to represent in Congress. He must be held accountable and investigated. This is all on top of the scrutiny he’s faced for issuing himself vehicle mileage reimbursements out of his campaign coffers that ethics experts have called excessive. We already have too many members of Congress who use their power for personal gain while hardworking families struggle just to get by. Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District deserves a representative who will always be transparent. That’s not my opponent. I work for my constituents — not financial interests or lobbyists. I wrote legislation to ban members of Congress from ever becoming lobbyists or owning individual stocks, and I will continue to fight to pass legislation to keep Washington transparent and root out corruption. [I’m ready to build on my work to clean up Washington — but my opponent has rejected transparency as a candidate and would continue to do the same as a representative. We can’t let him win and roll back all our work to advance government accountability. Can you make a contribution to my campaign today so I can fight for the transparency Minnesotans and Americans deserve?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [CHIP IN $10 NOW]( [CHIP IN $25 NOW]( [CHIP IN $50 NOW]( [CHIP IN $100 NOW]( [CHIP IN $250 NOW]( [ANOTHER AMOUNT]( Thank you, Angie Angie Craig for Congress PO Box 22116 Eagan, MN 55122 United States [angiecraig.com]( | campaign@angiecraig.com | [Privacy Policy]( Paid for by Angie Craig for Congress This email was sent to {EMAIL}.
