[While 2016 was a huge year for legal marijuana investors, 2017 will be even bigger.] My top Marijuana Stock Picks for Today By Jeff Siegel | Friday, June 2, 2017 - Baltimore, MD Make no mistake... While 2016 was a huge year for legal marijuana investors, [2017 will be even bigger.]( Here's why... In 2016, the new prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, announced the legalization of cannabis throughout the entire country. Within weeks of being elected, he began moving forward on creating the legislation. Now here we are, a year later, and the legislation has been approved. And in just a few weeks, the final regulations will be in place. This is a massive deal and absolutely sets the stage for a huge "green rush" in Canada. But here's the best part... This "green" rush has already begun to reach far beyond Canada's borders. The Great North American Legal Marijuana Trade Today, 29 states plus the District of Columbia have some sort of marijuana legalization in place. Next year, it'll hit 36. And just a couple of weeks ago, we learned that Mexico’s Congress passed a bill that will legalize the use of cannabis for medicinal use. That bill has since been sent to President Enrique Pena Nieto, who is expected to sign it. Moving south of Mexico, additional support is now being drummed up in South America, where cannabis is completely legal in Uruguay and is decriminalized in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and, most recently, Colombia. This map highlights all the states and countries where marijuana is legal or decriminalized. [marijuna-map-including-south-america-small]( And it's just going to get better. You see, right now, seven more states are set to approve full legalization initiatives in 2018. These include: Delaware, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Texas, Kentucky, New Mexico, Vermont, and Missouri. Canada will get its legal marijuana market completely standardized by summer, and in Mexico and South America, continued approval for legalization is a lock, thanks mostly to large amounts of tax revenue that many South American countries desperately need. From an investor's perspective, there really has never been a better time to get a piece of the legal marijuana sector. And right now, we have our hooks buried deep into the most lucrative legal marijuana stocks out there. I've even listed 46 of these stocks in our new e-book: "How to Become a Legal Drug Dealer: A Beginner's Guide to Getting Rich in the Legal Cannabis Market." It's essentially a "how-to" guide for folks who want to legally profit from the burgeoning legal marijuana trade.
